Navigating a New Path

6-14-16

She peeked around the corner of the garden path and then confidently turned and followed it.  Nature was her teacher today and as I watched her, I learned, too.

Nature shows us how to navigate through tumultuous terrain by allowing a path to be worn.  Rivers rise through mountain passes; flowers grow in rocks.  From nature, we learn how to persevere.

Nature shows us how to be patient as we watch even the smallest seeds grow into beautiful flowers.  We learn that water is healing and essential–whether it be by river, lake, ocean or tears.  With patience and water, most things can thrive.  maggie on path

Nature and children are quite the pair, showing us the way if we let them.  Today, I watched my daughter confidently navigate a path in her bare feet and she gave me a renewed sense of confidence to do the same.  This was just an everyday moment, my friends, and I’m so glad I caught it.

Thanks for Mothering the Divide with me, whatever path you’re navigating.
