Blessing and releasing and praying for the peace and the calm…
Today, we moved and I followed the advice of a follower of Mothering the Divide (Thank you, Andrea). She suggested selecting a stone from the yard and with it, walk room to room, thinking of memories from each room–moments I wouldn’t ever want to forget and most of life with my small children. The idea is that the rock will absorb the memories for me and when I look at the rock, I will remember all of the wonderful moments the house held for me.
It was a very special way to bless and release this house, and I would recommend it to anyone. I felt a peace and a calm as I said goodbye to each room, calling the memories to me one at a time.
I’m tired tonight but sitting with my family on a tiny loveseat in a carriage house turned small apartment. We’re blessing and releasing so many things as we start anew. As I sit here, safe and tired with my own, little family, I would be remiss if I didn’t say that I am praying tonight for the victims of the shooting in Orlando and for their families. I pray for the peace and the calm to spread, my friends.
Thanks for Mothering the Divide with me as I bless and release and pray for the peace and the calm for all.
